Emily Nowacki
What skills did you gain that you found to be advantageous from being part of the group?
I was able to refine the skills and knowledge I gained in psychology courses during my undergraduate career. For example, the many research writing responsibilities that the lab members take on greatly improved my overall research writing ability. Additionally, I had the opportunity to conduct interviews in a study that I was a part of in the lab, which improved my interviewing skills.
What have you been doing since you graduated?
Since I graduated in January 2009, I have been working for Kumon North America as a team member of the Human Capital Department. My main responsibilities at Kumon are to recruit candidates for our national corporate positions and assist candidates throughout the application process. This upcoming fall, I will be starting my first semester as a graduate student at Colorado State University studying I/O psychology.
