What skills did you gain that you found to be advantageous from being part of the group?

My experience in the research group represents the start of a long process of acquiring the skills necessary for conducting sound and meaningful research in psychology.  I remember gaining exposure to many facets of the research process: reviewing the literature, observational techniques, training confederates, collecting data, and data management

What have you been doing since you graduated?

I kept doing research! Starting my senior year, I had no clue what I was going to do after graduation. At Jack's urging and with his assistance, I applied to PhD programs. I owe Jack a big debt of gratitudeI went directly to graduate school at New York University, where I earned a Masters and PhD in I/O psychology. After completing my degree, I spent a year the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University as a visiting assistant professor. I joined the faculty at the University ofSouth Carolina in 1991, where I've remained since.

What are you doing now?

I am an associate professor of management and organizational behavior at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, where I teach graduate and undergraduate courses in organizational behavior, training and organizational development.  My current research interests concern how decision-making processes, governance, values, and self-interest influence cooperation within and between organizations.
